“Marina di Portoverde”, a small tourist harbour situated 100 metres west of the mouth of the river “Conca” halfway between Cattolica and Misano Adriatico, has started developing as a landing place for those reaching the Riviera by sea since the '70s.

It is the best-equipped tourist harbour of the Riviera, gathering state-of-the-art services and facilities and a charming residential complex. It is a fascinating area surrounded by white-coloured houses and an impressive wave-like-shaped ten-storey building (whose flats can be rented to spend charming holidays here).

The harbour develops between two parallel 40-metre-long piers, it provides access to hulls whose draught is lower than 1,80 metres and can host up to 360 4,5 to 20-metre-long ships. It is made up by two basins, an oval-shaped basin featuring 5 landing stages and a modern one situated south of the former; they are both equipped with lighting facilities, drinking water and security service, as well as with a proper slipway for small boats.

Both have a sandy and gravelly seabed, thus being subject to periodical sanding up; however, a drag anchor constantly operates to keep the necessary depths. Because of constant winds blowing from north-east which generate backwash, great attention should be paid upon entering into the harbour: winter features northwest wind and north wind, while summer is mostly characterized by south-east wind.

“Marina di Portoverde” is the ideal place to enjoy tanning, since it is provided with plenty of coloured beach umbrellas and mattresses. It is a sort of a holiday village gathering a nautical club, excellent restaurants, sports facilities, lush green areas, glamorous shops and boutiques and well-equipped campsites.

The lovers of boat excursions will have the possibility to take part in outstanding trips by motorships, which every day land from the landing stages of Misano Adriatico and Portoverde.
